Women’s health, on the other hand, is a long process that starts with the fall of the fetus in the mother’s womb, continues through adulthood and old age, and covers the period until the death of the woman, and the life of the woman is affected by many factors during this process. The aim of this review is to inform about women’s health problems in our country and the factors affecting them. Studies show that women survive longer than men. Women’s and maternal health is actually affected by many factors such as psychosocial factors originating from the family and society in which the woman lives, individual health status, fertility behavior, the current state of the health system and health services. Depending on the status and degree of impact of these determinants, the woman will either continue her life in good health or face acute and chronic diseases and their negative consequences such as disability or death. Women’s health is an issue that is considered very important in terms of its impact on children’s health and family health. The future of a society is directly related to the qualities of the individuals that make up that society. The protection of women’s health means not only the protection of themselves individually, but also the health of their spouses and children, thus the health of the family and the community. Therefore, women’s health cannot be considered separately from family health and family health from public health. It is an undeniable fact that a healthy society can consist of healthy families, and a healthy family can consist of a healthy woman. Midwives/nurses have important responsibilities in the face of the problems experienced during this whole process. The primary purpose of these responsibilities is to encourage women to talk about their stressful lives, thus helping her to perceive her situation more realistically.</p>}, number={1}, journal={WORLD WOMEN STUDIES JOURNAL}, author={ŞİMŞEK, Sümeyye}, year={2022}, month={Dec.}, pages={37–44} }
