Abstract

The article presents the generalized results of a cross-national comparative study on gender analysis differences and inequality in entering the labor market. In connection with the relative increase in the level of education of women and the expansion of the service sector, it can be assumed that gender inequality in obtaining returns on labor is either decreasing or even “turning” in favor of women. When analyzing gender differences at the stage of entering the labor market in a large array of countries we focused on the phase of the life trajectory, when the woman’s family roles do not yet matter much.
