The creation of a new analytical language was associated with the borrowing in the early 1990s, within the changing institutional and political context, into the Russian language, as well as into other languages of the post-Soviet space, the term “gender” as a key meaning for another discourse. For the first time, as recently discovered by a researcher from Novosibirsk, Tatyana Barchunova, it was used by the philosopher Olga Voronina in the early 1990s: it was from the Moscow (con) text - and not from English-language publications that most did not have access to - that was subsequently transferred and became generally accepted.
